About

Anime Music Video (AMV) editing is a multicultural art form and fan-creation activity that consists of utilizing one or more animation sources (of Japanese origin), in combination with one or more audio tracks, to create fan-made music videos.

With main community hubs located in the United States, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, and Australia, the creation of AMVs occurs in all continents of the world, inspiring creativity and collaboration.

The AMV Documentary project is a series of videos that records this phenomenon — its history, culture, and community — as well as illustrates the importance of AMVs in the lives of editors and fans alike.
Entirely created through volunteer efforts, this series is currently in its production phase. If you would like to contribute in any way, please contact us.
